We close with Modern Masters of Jazz, featuring the Jason Marsalis Quartet with acclaimed vocalist Vanisha Gould. This evening of world-class, straight-ahead jazz showcases the enduring brilliance of modern bebop, infused with the spirit of New Orleans. A recipient of honors from the National Endowment for the Arts, Jason Marsalis leads a performance of exceptional artistry, complemented by Gould’s expressive vocal style reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Joni Mitchell.
