Art Farm's current artist-in-residence, researcher and playwright Pamela Robinson, hosts a conversation around her work.

Dr. Pamela Robinson, Ph.D. and playwright aims to amplify voices across the network of agricultural communities, honing in on their collective knowledge passed down from generation to generation coupled with constant experimentation and continuous learning by working with nature. Pamela’s curiosity and research led her to ask, “What if nature were an actor in this play we call life?” Pamela is motivated by stories embedded in the connection between humans and nature. For these reasons, Pamela is deeply committed to transforming her award-winning dissertation into a play. She is driven by a curiosity about the biophilic interconnection between humans and nature and what gives life. Her deep desire for dramatic performance is to evoke emotion in the audience as well as create a space for the audience to experience broader ways of thinking and relating to others and to nature.
